SMS Banking: Get the right messages

SMS Banking saves you the hassle of finding a branch or an ATM. Simply send a text (SMS) to 9616 to: 
Check your account balance 
See the details of the last five transactions on your main account 
Perform transfers between your MCB accounts (Seychelles Rupees only)

SMS Alerts

Your mobile phone can simplify the management of your finances. Subscribe to SMS Alerts and we will send you a text message when: 

  • Your credit transfers
  • Your term deposit reaches maturity
  • Your standing order has failed
  • Your loan installment has failed


For each SMS you send to 9616, SCR 1 will be charged to your MCB account on top of your telephone operator's normal SMS fees.  

For each SMS Alert you receive, SCR 1 will be charged to your MCB account.

To enjoy the many benefits of SMS Banking, simply visit any MCB branch to register for the service. You only need to have a valid subscription (prepaid or postpaid) with either Airtel or Cable & Wireless. If you are subscribed to Internet Banking, you can register online to SMS Banking under ‘Services’ menu and ‘SMS Banking’ sub menu.
